Hidden gem of Turkey!

We visited many ancient sites in Turkey, but Olympos was by far our favorite. The combination of ruins, nature, and the beach is unbeatable. It felt like a real discovery, not a tourist trap.

Magical at sunset

Arrived in the afternoon and stayed until sunset. The light through the trees onto the ancient stones was incredible. Then walked up to Chimaera for the flames - an unforgettable day!

Beautiful but bring water!

As a local, I'm proud of this site. It's hot in summer though - bring plenty of water and wear good shoes. The walk to the beach through the ruins is magical.

Perfect combination of history and nature

Spent the whole day here. Morning exploring ruins, afternoon swimming at the beach, evening at Chimaera. The treehouse accommodations nearby added to the unique experience.

Worth the journey

It's a bit off the beaten path from Antalya but absolutely worth it. Much less crowded than Ephesus or Pamukkale. The overgrown ruins give it an Indiana Jones feel.

Addressing Common Questions in Reviews

Is It Suitable for Children?

Yes, families with children visit regularly. The combination of ruins to explore, nature to discover, and a beach for swimming makes it engaging for kids. However, the terrain requires supervision for younger children, and the walk to the beach takes 15-20 minutes on uneven paths.

Accessibility Information

The site has limited accessibility for visitors with mobility challenges. Paths are unpaved with uneven surfaces, roots, and ancient stones. Wheelchair access is not available throughout the ruins. The entrance area and initial sections are more accessible than deeper parts of the site.
